Natapu MARA (Sgt 30.766) born the 8th of July 1922 in Rurutu joined as a volunteer at 18 years of age, he left Tahiti for the duration of the war, this young mans journey began via Fiji, New Zealand, Sydney, Canada and Iceland before arriving in Scotland, where they were transferred to Camberley, Englad to join the Free French Air Force as unfortunately France had capitulated with his fellow Tahitians.
