18 – Flying Log Book World War II

    In Dads Diary he mentioned he took the lady who was to become my mum to the pictures 2nd January 1944 I wonder what was on both their minds as he flew out on the 4th of January two days later on another mission?

    Circus (Circus Bombing) – daytime bomber attacks with fighter escorts against short range targets, to occupy enemy fighters and keep them in the area concerned

    2nd January 1944 Dad wrote Stayed at home went to the pictures in the afternoon with Joyce who was to become my mother.
