16 – Flying Log Book World War II

  • This history is chronological so “Flying Log Books” may not be in sequence.

I noticed Dad and I would imagine his crew had a months break between missions, I have tried to find out why, so far no reason found, perhaps it was due to the loses sustained during their mission on the 3rd of October.

One thing I noticed was that when they weren’t on a bombing mission they were also out training, whether these training flight included unlisted missions I’m not sure. As I have mentioned previously often they did smoke screen and reconnaissance flights?
