    1st of April 1943 342 Lorraine Squadron commended by W/C A.C.P. Carver with French W/C Henri de Rancourt was formed at West Raynham Douglas Havocs and Bostons mainly Free French Air Force officers who had resided at Sculthorpe since January “A” Flight was known as Metz Flight and “B” Flight was called Nancy Flight.

    TRANSLATION: Total Hours ninety two hrs thirty seven mins in April of which five hrs and thirty mins were at West Raynham noted by the Commander Charbonneux 1st Squadron. Signed and stamped by Lt Colonel Commander of the group.
